There are 2 general types of mini usb cables for the TI series calculators. The mini to mini plug is designed for transferring data between two calculators (chances are this is the one you are talking about) the other cable is the mini to standard B side USB cable (fits into your computer USB port) in order to connect the calculator to a computer though you will need the TI-Connect software available from www.ti.com/calc.
