Is there a way to input composite video (RCA phono) into a SVGA monitor.?

It cannot be done directly. This is because the SVGA requires the Red/Green/Blue signals to be delivered separately. Composite signals from your RCA Phono socket deliver everything, including line/frame sych, as one somewhat complex waveform.

You can get boxes which will separate composite into RGB but the result will not be as good as ‘pure’ RGB, so prepare for a little disappointment.

One of the best dealers for things like this is Lektropacks. I’ve used them and never found them anything less than helpful. (I’ve no connection with them)
